New Horizon Addiction Rehabilitation Centers offer safe and effective, highly specialized 24- hour supervised Detoxification Units staffed by a specially trained addiction physician and a team of addiction professionals including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Counselors.
Upon admission residents undergo a comprehensive physical and mental health assessment as well as an in-depth substance use history; all of which inform the treatment pathway forward. Using evidence based assessment scales and treatment interventions individuals in acute withdrawal receive the appropriate medical interventions to safely manage their withdrawal under the close supervision of the program physician and nursing staff.
After the acute stage of detoxification, residents connect with inhouse programming and ongoing counseling as part of their recovery path which follows one of the treatment streams outlined below.
Models of Care
New Horizon Rehabilitation Centers support both abstinence based and Harm Reduction models of recovery. For those struggling with opioid addiction, in addition to abstinence based approaches, New Horizons offers evidence based Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) pathway options. Twelve Step Programs, counseling, educational, and treatment groups are incorporated throughout treatment and offer residents an opportunity to reconnect with a recovery community and to establish healthy relationships.
The goal of residential treatment is to move from acute detoxification and stabilization to long term recovery in the community. To transition from intensive clinical management within a supervised treatment environment to self- management within a supportive recovery community over time.
